Frequently asked questions
Is the app free?
Core workshop features — pin gaps, sight tapes, gear profiles, drills, and reference tools — are available without purchase on this build. There are no ads blocking ballistic calculations.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. PinGap Archery Desk is designed to work fully offline. Your bow data, tapes, and drill scores are stored locally on your device.
How accurate are the pin gaps?
Results depend on the quality of your inputs (chrono speed, arrow weight, peep height, etc.). Treat outputs as planning aids and always verify at known yardages on the range.
Can I share sight tapes?
Yes. Use the system share sheet to export worksheets. Sharing is entirely under your control — nothing is uploaded automatically.
Practice reminders are not showing. What should I check?
On Android 13+, grant notification permission when prompted. Reminders are optional — the app works fully if you deny notifications. Also check that battery optimization is not restricting background tasks for PinGap Archery Desk.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored bow profiles, sight tapes, drill scores, and preferences. You can also clear app data from Android Settings → Apps → PinGap Archery Desk → Storage.
How do I report a bug?
Email us with your Android version, device model, and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots are welcome.

PinGap Archery Desk ("the App") is developed by DIKUNYULIIA. We built an offline archery workshop — not a data collection platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how.
1. Summary
- No user account or sign-in required
- No sale of personal data to third parties
- No advertising SDKs or analytics trackers in the core app
- All archery data stored locally on your Android device
2. Information stored on your device
The App saves the following locally using Room database and DataStore preferences:
- Bow and arrow profiles (draw weight, speed, peep geometry, etc.)
- Sight tape configurations and pin markers
- Drill scores and practice history
- App preferences: distance units (yards/meters), speed mode (chrono/IBO), theme, onboarding status
This information never leaves your device unless you explicitly share a worksheet or export via the Android system share sheet.
3. Permissions
The App may request the following Android permissions:
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — optional practice reminders scheduled by WorkManager. You may deny this permission; all core features remain available.
The App does not request location, contacts, microphone, or continuous background tracking permissions.
Camera libraries are included for potential future capture features but are not required for core ballistic calculations.
4. Data sharing
We do not transmit your archery profiles, sight tapes, or drill scores to our servers — we operate no backend database for user content.
If you choose to share an exported file, Android's standard share intent delivers it to the app you select (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.). That third party's privacy policy applies to data you send through them.
5. Data retention & deletion
Data persists on your device until you delete it within the App, clear app storage in system settings, or uninstall the App.
6. Children's privacy
The App is a general-purpose archery tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Security
Local data is protected by standard Android app sandboxing. We recommend keeping your device OS updated and using a screen lock.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
